The SeaTwirl team installed S1 with only a small and ambitious group of people and a limited budget to prove the concept. S1 is one of few floating wind projects to have been in the water for such a long period of time. S1 has withstood harsh weather conditions, autumn and winter storms reaching hurricane wind speeds.
