Verti-Go project officially launched in October

Together with our consortium members, we will demonstrate SeaTwirl’s 2 MW floating wind turbine technology

October 2025 marks a significant milestone for SeaTwirl as we officially launched the Verti-Go project on October 1st — the start of an ambitious EU-backed initiative to drive floating wind innovation forward.

To celebrate the start of the project, SeaTwirl welcomed Verti-Go’s consortium partners to Gothenburg on October 21–22 for a two-day kick-off meeting. The event brought together experts from across Europe for presentations, breakout sessions, constructive discussions, and valuable networking. time to connect and build strong partnerships. The energy, collaboration, and shared vision across the group were truly inspiring and we build a strong foundation for the collaboration ahead.

At the core of Verti-Go is partnership. Together with our consortium members, we will demonstrate SeaTwirl’s 2 MW floating wind turbine technology — from design and manufacturing to installation and operation. The design phase is expected to run until late 2026, with construction and operati onal activities planned through the end of 2029.

The project is coordinated by University College Cork, with SeaTwirl serving as Technical Coordinator. Consortium partners include EDP – CNET Centre for New Energy Technologies SA, Greenov, Next Fabrication, Sub Connected AB, Sowento, RSTER, PNO, Bureau Veritas, and Zorlu Enerji. DNV contributes to the project as part of the advisory board.

We’re truly excited for the journey ahead together!
