SeaTwirl has started a research cooperation with Chalmers and RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) for a project that is being run by the Swedish Wind Power Technology Centre.

SeaTwirl and Siemens have entered into a cooperation agreement which takes SeaTwirl closer to the goal of becoming a leader in floating wind power. SeaTwirl and Siemens are looking forward to a long-term cooperation focused on the technical parts of a floating wind turbine.

The first floating wind farm in the world performed better than expected during its first three months of operation, according to the owner Statoil who now aims to reduce costs. However, SeaTwirl wind turbines offer even greater opportunities for reduced costs.

At the annual general meeting which was held on February 26, Charlotte Bergqvist was elected to SeaTwirl’s board of directors. Charlotte, with her long experience and prestigious board appointments in the energy industry, sees in SeaTwirl an exciting technology with a bright future.
