SeaTwirl in cooperation with the University of Tokyo
SeaTwirl and the University of Tokyo have started a cooperation where the research group led by Associate Professor Shinichiro Hirabayashi at the Department of Ocean Technology, Policy and Environment, are looking to adapt SeaTwirls technology to Japanese conditions.

Due to faster wake recovery, it is possible to place SeaTwirl’s vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT) closer together in a wind farm and get more power generation from the same area, simulations in a new white paper show.

Business Sweden has appointed SeaTwirl as one of the winners in the Smart Energy Catalyst 2022 class. The title is awarded each year to the companies in the program that Business Sweden believes have the greatest potential to scale up their business idea to a global level.
