“I thank our shareholders and everyone on the board for the trust put in me to be chair of SeaTwirl in this exciting phase and I look forward to keep building on the foundation former chairmen Jens Tommerup and Roger Cederberg has put in place. As GU Ventures was among the first dedicated investors in SeaTwirl in 2012, I have a long past with the company and know it well. We have a lot going on in SeaTwirl, everything from expansive technology development, strengthened communication, growing organization and a capital raise ahead of us. It will be great fun to work even closer with everyone on the board, the team and advisors”, says Klementina Österberg, who is also CEO of GU Ventures and a shareholder in SeaTwirl.

Peter Laurits remains the vice-chair of the board which furthermore consists of members Charlotte Bergqvist, Dan Friberg and Pontus Ryd. An alternate is Knut Claesson, SeaTwirl’s single largest shareholder.

“It is with great pleasure and optimism that I welcome Klementina as the new chair. In the phase that SeaTwirl is now in, Klementina will lead the board and the company to the next level with her competence, experience and incredible energy. For me, it’s a privilege to be given the opportunity and trust to continue working with such an innovative and strong concept and to be able to offer the world better and more efficient energy. Everyone on the board is passionate about this and with the growing and strong SeaTwirl team in place it will be a pleasure to take SeaTwirl’s products to the world market”, says Peter Laurits.

SeaTwirl develops the floating wind turbine of the future in a simple and robust design that reduces costs at every stage, from installation to maintenance. Now, SeaTwirl is expanding, focusing on the world market and on scaling up the wind turbine. SeaTwirl’ board plans to gradually develop the entire organization by including new key people with relevant competencies, which reflect the company’s vision.
